R90 scrambler front end

This bike is intended to be an open road mile muncher that won’t lose it’s lolly when the bitumen runs out. So suspension will be modded and it will be shod with dual sport tires: Heidenau K60’s.

The brakes also need an upgrade as the stock single disk ATE’s are somewhat lacking in the stopping department! I’d originally intended to convert to dual ATE disks and managed to find a NOS right hand fork slider with brake flanges for lots of bucks. Then I came across Matts R90 big brake conversion – GAME CHANGER!!

Matt’s FB page is here
The fork flanges need to be modified but you don’t have to use a mill as I have. A grinder and file would do.
Wheels have been powder coated and laced with SS spokes.
The 4 pot Brembo caliper is off a GSXR 750. Even with the 330mm ECB rotor (for Ducati 1198), some material will need to be taken off the back of the caliper in order to clear the spokes.
